Thank You Dilaudid!!

Hello Everyone!
Yes, I am so happy and SUPER pain free right now! Thank you to whomever invented Dilaudid:-) I am feeling much better compared to having the same surgery performed less than 8 months ago. The pain is a lot less or the pain meds this time are way better-lol....

Thank you to Jenny-The Bloggess for keeping my spirits up and keeping me in stitches(literally).

I included a picture, sorry it's a little yucky..... I desperately needed to re-wrap my Ace-Bandage that was falling off today, and I tried to take the best picture I could with one hand.....my elbow looks worse than it feels, I'm still very swollen & bruised, and I estimated the sutures to be about 8 inches in length.

I will keep everyone updated, take care!

The patient from hell

I've been a nurse of 17 plus years now. And this past week I had the pleasure of taking care the the most Annoying patient EVER since I graduated nursing school. The says a WHOLE lot!

Thank you for making this past week a living hell for me and now to your new newborn too.

Good luck on not making your child dislike you as much as I do.

Very Best,
ME

Whats New?

Hello everyone! Yes, I have been MIA. We have been ssooooo busy at work and I've been to tired after night shift to post, but here is bits of craziness from my last two shifts or so:

A. Does having a baby really hurt that bad? Response to her was I had a patient ask me to shoot her once! Did you sign for the epidural just in case?

B. I had a patient refusing to push just at the end, she needed to reconsider ,"this whole Mother thing"! That was the smartness bit of information I heard all day:)

C. This was from working in triage: So, if my water breaks and say I'm like swimming, like in the ocean, how will I know? Response was Good Grief!

D. This was overheard by my the patient who didn't get the epidural to her sister who was pregnant, "Be prepared to die, it hurts make sure you get the epidurally thingy"

E. And last but not least, My patient who wanted to go natural who was doing such a great job, begged me to knock her out with my reflex hammer!

Don't start with me!

Here are some words of advice to my fellow, "co-workers".

1. Just because you have more letters behind your name, it does not in anyway make you a, "better nurse"!

2. Do not Shit where you work- because that just stinks!

3. Don't EVER start me me because I guarantee you will lose EVERY TIME-i.e. like this morning- a&^-hole!!

It made my day- to make you look like a idiot!

Now go home and Have a Great Day!

The Mess--Has anyone seen my keys?

The House is a Mess, I would personally label it a State of Emergency, but hey that is just me!

We recently decided to finally fix the bathroom upstairs-it was gut down to the beams.

Hired a great guy and it looks beautiful. (Thanks Mr. FireMan)

Only problem is, we never take a break from one project to the next.

The bathroom is complete, at least in the other person eyes- the other part owner!

And their he goes ripping apart another room. Granted it's not like it does not need to be done, but heaven help me.

We have have lived in this house for 9 years this month and just when one room is finished, we are off to the next and before you know it, the first room we completed is looking , "not so hot," and wam-project #538 is started.

Now it the girls room, aahhh the girls room, pink, bows, hearts, and polka-dots ...aahhh--everything I always wanted! But do we really need to do it now?

Back to school around the corner, summer-projects due/uniforms to be bought? Both parent who work full-time/soccer...the list goes on and on

The Mess is unreal- started with -ripping wood-work out in one room to---Hey let's keep on going, let's take it into the hallway.

Did I mention this lovely young lady on 29yo, works nights and gets to come to a wood saw going off, the up and down the stairs, and then the nail-gun, ooppss don't let me forget compresser going off too- and then the lovely "thud", every few minutes?

The other half rotates too, so he goes in for night-shift today at 5pm until 9am, but he can get sleep at his job way more than any other profession that I know of.

Did I mention we are having a Big BBQ on Wednesday for #3's-4th Bday?

You are all welcomed to come, because what started out as a few family member is now at 30 plus.

Please bring the Potato Salad, and some alcohol, I'm going to need some.

Oohhh, yes--If anyone has seen either set of my keys, please email me at purplestinkyonion.com-I'd appreciate it!
