really dude?

sorry i have not written in so long, i don't have to much to say except that i'm very busy with the kiddo's and yes, my job still sucks most days.

the only new things are:

a. if you are going to stay overnight with your loved one, please where pajamas. i do not like seeing you come out of the bathroom in the middle of the night- in your underwear, it's bad enough i have to look at perineums, and lochia, let only your ugly ass in stained underwear!

b. evidence based practice has confirmed that rm#2 is graded to the right- if your wife does have a postpartum bleed, it will run out of her to the floor and if we're lucky enough down and out into the hallway---watch you're step!

c. don't take the liberty of showing you're loved one how to use the breast-pump you look like an idiot, seriously ring for a nurse to show your wife---that was gross and i really would prefer seeing her use it correctly than you!

d. why on god's green earth would the two of you EVEN consider to have sex only 2 days post delivery than not only ruined my day, but my year---good grief

School officially started yesterday am, well at least for my oldest 2. #3 starts his first full day in the morning and is scared out of his mind, you can just tell. Of course the old two are telling him wild and crazy stories about taking the bus---but I guess that is just what older siblings thrive on:)

Number 4-started preschool 3 days a week for 6 hours, she is also nervous, and is just starting to give up her, "baby"-- Baby is a small , and at one time flurry stuffed animal Grover- now his fur is matted down- she mostly carriers him. by one leg, now that leg is 1 inch longer than the other. Over the past year, because she loves Dave Grohl/Foo Fighters, she has started to call him Baby Dave Go-Go and occasionally will say, "baby Dave Do-Do:)).God Bless her little heart

Hope all the other mothers are surviving the start of school too.

Patients:)

Today, I had the honor of taking care of a patient who is not only a Pharmacist, but wears multiple caps, Pharmacist/RN/Dr/new mother, she is an utter complete a-hole along with her husband, God Bless her new infant, she'll have a long life to bear.....

Saying Goodbye is not easy

On the one year anniversary of this blog, I have a few things to say, or a story to tell:

Goodbye to Mr. G
This is a true story though the names have been changed.
Today, I said Goodbye to Mr. G. My longest life-time friends, father. Katherine and I lost touch for a few years during our early twenties, but found our way back again in our late twenties. After, I started to have children, her daughter Angie started to help us out during the summer with months as a mother's helper. I told Katherine, Angie was so good that's why we continued to have more children, because she was such a great help:)), and Katherine smiled at me and said that is why she got pregnant so young, so Angie could help us out.
If you do not know Katherine already:
Katherine had Angie very young. Katherine's mother was very unsupportive of her pregnancy. Katherine once told me in tears the first thing her mother said to her, when she announced she was pregnant was, "what am I going to tell my friends?"
I was Katherine's best friend for 11 years and did not even know she was pregnant, she keep her pregnancy hidden from everyone else except her immediate family, looking back I can not believe I did not even know she was pregnant in high-school.
Katherine's father never hide the fact that she was his favorite child, mostly because I'm sure it drove her mother crazy. This was well known to me even as a young child. But, he become her biggest supporter I have ever seen. When Katherine announced her pregnancy at home, her father supporter her, when the relationship with Angie's father failed, he supported her-- never financially but always emotionally. Mr. G was a rock.
Mr. G was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease many years ago, but only about 8 years ago did it become well evident. I once, had to pick Angie up at Grandpop's house, and there Mr. G was on at the front door, shaking uncontrollable, with a smile on his face, kisses and hugs to me as always and a compliment on my children.
He once stood in that same doorway not to many years before as the man, who could literally put the fear of God into me, but there he stood feeble and frail, not the man I remembered.
Today, it was like saying goodbye to my own family member, the realization my best friend will never be the same, it changes you, makes you more tough around the edges, sad to know, my best friend will never be as she once was..................

Happy Anniversary!!!!!! 1 Year

Well, Thank You for reading for this blog over the past year.

I'm really not sure, why I even started this blog, but it is here for me and my thoughts and expressions, and I thank you for sharing it with me this past year, therefore Happy Annivary to me and you:))

The problem with healthcare medicine

One of the many problems with medicine is all the freaking, unnecessary tests.

I was a patient recently of some, "Big Named hospital" and I recently received an itemized bill for all the test performed, like the pregnancy test, that I insisted I did NOT need. Why, you ask?
First with the last pregnancy not only did I have a completed previa, it turned out my placenta loved all of my previous c-section scars, especially since I had already had 3 c-sections- therefore I had an accreata, which I was monitored very closely with during the ENTIRE pregnancy, only to find out after my delivery a few days later, it was a percerta(worse case scenario), noted I said a few days after I delivered I was told this, because that's how long it took them to finally decide to wean my from the vent, replace more blood and bring my back from the otherside in the ICU etc.......

I had a great Oncologist, who helped with the c-section(better at identifying large and small vessels), anyway they removed my uterus, tubes and cervix no less, and it was preformed at the same f-ing hospital were I was sick, they have EPIC(medical/online medical records) and I told them this and said really you have EPIC access, yes, then look it up?.....seriously now they are charging my insurance for some stupid test that couldn't even be true, and trust me I'M NOT THE VIRGIN MARY!

UUgghhhh! Family

Well, I guess I really pissed them off, the in-laws, I wrote, " I was going to write something nice about my, "family members", but I decided not too, on facebook.
Now their not talking to me...aaaaa go f-yourselves. Really, did you think I may have been talking about something else or someone else entirely? Get a Grip! My Life and The Other Half's do not completely and entirely revolve around you folks.

I really wish I could have enough money to get up and move the my family to the otherside of the country.

I have to go to work again on Thursday and over the weekend. We have a lot of gastroschisis babies due in the next month or so, "They'll fuck ya, everytime". They have a shittest fetal strips and 15% die in utero by 35 weeks, we end up delivering those babies for one small possible decel, and sleep cycle that looks at little flat...good times ahead, good times.

I saw a super cool TRAP sequence at work. We did an RFA on the "blob" and then cut the cord so there was no cord entanglement later, pretty interesting to say the least.
